China has unveiled its Global Civilization Initiative (GCI), a visionary plan aiming to foster respect for cultural diversity, promote common human values, and enhance international cooperation. Conferences such as the Dialogue of Asian Civilizations and forums between Chinese and African civilizations have fostered mutual understanding and cooperation. The establishment of centers like the Center of Chinese and Greek Ancient Civilizations highlights efforts to bridge historical cultures.
In addition, China regularly hosts cultural events like the Arabic Arts Festival and the International Arts Festival, enhancing cultural ties and showcasing artistic diversity. In 2017 alone, China organized approximately 2,000 cultural activities in over 130 countries and established around 3,000 sister city or province partnerships worldwide.
