This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), a transformative global development strategy initiated by China aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and fostering a shared future.
An onsite event titled “Belt & Road: When Dreams Have Wings” was recently co-hosted by CGTN and Renmin University of China as a special edition of China Talk. The event brought together experts, scholars, and practitioners who have been directly involved in BRI projects across different countries.
Participants shared their firsthand experiences and insights, painting a vivid picture of the BRI’s impact on the ground. Discussions revolved around the initiative’s role in promoting economic growth, cultural exchange, and infrastructural development in participating nations.
A key highlight was the emphasis on the BRI’s contribution to building bridges between Asia and the rest of the world, facilitating trade and investment, and promoting mutual understanding among diverse cultures.
As the BRI enters its second decade, the event underscored the importance of continued collaboration and innovation to address global challenges and realize shared dreams of prosperity and development.
