CGTN's Art Series took center stage at Singapore's ART SG 2026 this week, blending historical craftsmanship with cutting-edge creativity. The media network hosted a global dialogue titled "When Classics Inspire" on January 24, following the January 23 launch of its latest season, "China Crafted,\” which showcases reinterpretations of traditional Chinese aesthetics through modern artistic lenses.
The panel discussion featured prominent voices including Magnus Renfrew (ART SG co-founder), Tan-Soh Wai Lan (Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts president), Seng Yu Jin (National Gallery Singapore curator), and Kevin Lam (Asian Civilization Museum senior curator). Participants examined how digital innovation and cross-cultural exchanges are reshaping Asia's art landscape while preserving its heritage.
The program, set for global broadcast across 160+ countries and regions, highlights Asia's growing influence in defining 21st-century artistic narratives. Earlier seasons of the Art Series are currently displayed alongside new works at the exhibition venue, offering visitors a visual journey through evolving regional creativity.
