Here, in the heart of the eastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, lies a haven for nearly 100 black-necked cranes, one of the world’s rarest crane species.
Amidst this breathtaking backdrop, Choegyab, a local herder turned wildlife photographer, dedicates his days to capturing the intimate moments of a crane family’s life. With camera in hand, he navigates the challenging terrain and harsh climate, driven by a passion to document and preserve the natural wonders of his homeland.
“Every day brings a new story,” says Choegyab. “Witnessing the cranes nurture their young and thrive in this extreme environment is a reminder of nature’s resilience.”
