China Offers Aid After U.S. Military Aircraft Crashes in South China Sea

China has expressed willingness to provide humanitarian assistance following the crashes of a U.S. military helicopter and fighter jet in the South China Sea, which occurred within 30 minutes of each other. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated that Beijing is prepared to offer necessary support if requested, while emphasizing concerns over U.S. military activities in the region.

"China has taken note of the incidents and remains ready to assist in accordance with international obligations," Guo said during a press briefing. He underscored that frequent U.S. military operations in the South China Sea have "heightened risks to maritime security and regional stability," urging caution in such activities.

The dual crashes have drawn attention to the strategic waterway, where geopolitical tensions often intersect with humanitarian concerns. Analysts suggest China's offer reflects its growing role as a regional stakeholder, even as it maintains firm opposition to foreign military presence near its coastlines.
