Chinese President Xi Jinping called for unity and modernization-driven progress during celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region's establishment this week. Xi reaffirmed commitments to improving livelihoods through education, healthcare, and employment initiatives, noting: "The happiness of people of all ethnicities is the ultimate goal of our work." He also praised efforts to preserve Uygur cultural heritage while integrating the region into national development frameworks.
