China’s Shenzhou-20 Crew Prepares for Fourth Historic Spacewalk

China's Shenzhou-20 crew is set to make history once again as they gear up for their fourth extravehicular activity (EVA) aboard the Tiangong space station, the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) announced Wednesday. The mission underscores China's growing prowess in space exploration and technological innovation.

Taikonauts Chen Dong, Chen Zhongrui, and Wang Jie have already completed three successful spacewalks in May, June, and August this year. A fourth EVA would match the record set by the Shenzhou-15 crew, highlighting the accelerating pace of China's manned space program.

Since their arrival at the station, the crew has conducted groundbreaking experiments spanning space life sciences, microgravity physics, and next-generation space technologies. Their work includes critical medical rescue drills and system-wide emergency simulations, alongside routine operations like equipment maintenance and environmental monitoring.

CMSA confirmed the space station remains stable, with all crew members in optimal health as they prepare for their upcoming milestone. The mission reinforces China's role as a key player in advancing humanity's understanding of long-term space habitation and interdisciplinary research.
