Beijing is poised to make history with the launch of the world’s first '4S store' dedicated to embodied artificial intelligence (AI) robots, a groundbreaking initiative to accelerate the commercialization of advanced robotics. Slated to open in August 2025 during the World Robot Conference, the facility in Yizhuang’s robotics industrial park promises to redefine how humans interact with cutting-edge technology.
Revolutionizing Robotics Commerce
Modeled after the automotive 4S concept—sales, service, spare parts, and surveys—the store will offer immersive scenario-based demonstrations, nationwide rapid-response parts networks, and professional maintenance teams. Over 100 robotics enterprises, including 30 humanoid robot specialists, have already committed to joining the hub. Key players like the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center and UBTECH are among the first partners.
Yizhuang’s Rise as a Global Robotics Powerhouse
Home to 300+ robotics firms and a 10-billion-yuan industrial chain, Yizhuang hosts the World Robot Conference’s permanent site. The district recently gained attention for organizing the world’s first humanoid robot half-marathon, where Beijing’s Tiangong Ultra robot clinched victory. Liang Liang of Yizhuang’s administrative committee emphasized the 4S store’s role in strengthening the area’s global influence and fostering industry innovation.
